There Is A Scripture - Architect & LORD

My brother and I were talking about this little project that has been ongoing for me. The last time we spoke I told him I had stopped saying “Oh this will only take a day or two” or “That will be done by the end of the month.” I always blew those estimates. But this latest time we were talking and I did it again. I listed what remained to be done in just a couple general categories and for a moment in my mind I got kind of excited. “Not much left, getting really close.” Then I started outlining those couple general categories to him, filling in the details, and the light began to dawn that there was still lots to do and each one of those tasks was going to take time. Have you ever done that, over simplified? I know better yet I still do it. It can cause problems to just look at the big picture and not the details as well. Details bring into focus all the pieces needed to complete the big picture. Details are the work. I think we, or at least I have, can have that same mind set in our walk with the One who made us. I may read a scripture like: Micah 6:8 CJB “Human being, you have already been told what is good, what Adonai demands of you-no more than to act justly, love grace and walk in purity with your God.” or: Deuteronomy 30:19-20 CJB “Therefore choose life, so that you will live, you and your descendants, loving Adonai your God, paying attention to what He says and clinging to Him-for that is the purpose of your life!” or: Acts 16:31 CJB “…Trust in the Lord Yeshua and you will be saved…” and if I’m not careful, forget that these verses describe a state of being, purpose, a goal, a nature but that there are details connected to them that deal with the work of achieving and/or maintaining these goals, and sharing. I/we have been gifted, if we chose to accept, with a righteousness we could not achieve on our own, God’s, Yahweh’s grace, Yeshua’s sacrifice, but what follows is for me/us to learn the details about living the righteous, praise worthy, pleasing to God life, He wants and requires of us. Looking at the details opens our eyes to the scope of the work, our own skill level, resources available, what we are to do and the manner in which we are to do it. In studying the details we realize it’s too much, that we haven’t the time, the skill or resources to complete the project perfectly, maybe at all. But the Architect and Engineer has provided a Help. With our Help leading, we can interpret the directions correctly and perform the work rightly. There is no way to fail except we just walk off the job. All that to say this, the big picture, the concept, is the goal, who we want to be yes, but it is in the jots and tittles where one sees the work, how much there is and what it takes to do it. It is in the details that we see a clearer picture of our Creator and His wonderful nature. They are the representation of His desire that we succeed. It is in the details that we come to know what the simplified statement fully means. Father thank You for the highness of Your calling to us and for the Way You have provided so we can walk in it. Thank You for detailed instructions that inform us of what You want from us and how to go about doing it. Thank You for the Help You have provided that is always with us to do the work rightly before You. Thank You that You have provided instruction and work for us to do, so that we have some way of demonstrating our love for You. Thank You Father. In Yeshua’s name we pray, Amen.
