Father, You are Light and Life.
You are a river, clean and clear, flowing and quenching, refreshing…
You are soft showers, soaking and softening the living clay You formed…
Barren deserts You transform to verdant, green pastures, cool and moist…
abundant… nourishment for the body… gladdening for the heart…
beautiful to the eye… song in our ears.
To You who “…all living creatures come…” may we join with… all of nature in… the silence of praise… in…shouting for joy and breaking into song…”
Your glory Father fall upon us please… may our spirits be gladdened in this vision of Your great beauty and power and presence… blanket us so… as we wake to a new day… here in the dimness before full light…
Then very surely we can take on the very near circumstances in which we live that pain our bodies… are destructive to our bodies… and can be… to our minds and hearts as well…
Father… may Your Holy Spirit fall upon us… fill us… accompany us every second of the day… in the midst of heartbreaking and dangerous times, such as these Father… be peace beyond understanding for us… be joy that cannot be taken away from us… make Your nearness to us unmistakably real Father…
Enable us to see and find gladness in beauty and goodness that still can be seen and is done in Your creation and created beings…
may we be patient and confident in these now…
be steady and without fear…
for You are near… now… and forever to be.
Glory be…to You… Abba Dear Father…
