Minchah Prayer

Father, we pray for a meaningful day spent with You on Yom Kippur.

May it be a Sabbath Day of rest in which our spirits are afflicted by an awareness that try as we might we still fall short of the glory You would have us aspire to and we are sorry and we repent and beg Your forgiveness.

And we are afflicted by the picture in our minds of our Redeemer suffering evil at the hands of those He cared for… suffering Your wrath for the sins of all men of all time… that they might have the opportunity to be reconciled to You and have fellowship with You once again.

The very thought that afflicts gives comfort and joy as well, in that once and for all sin is taken away by His sacrifice… for those, whosoever will trust, bow down, humble themselves and obey.

And may it be a time of gladness as well, of drawing near to You in worship and in offering sacrifices of praise to You.

For You are worthy Abba Dear Father.

We fear You and love You Father.

May You be glorified.

In Yeshua’s name we pray.

Amen.
