“…the One who began a good work among you will keep it growing until it is completed on the Day of the Messiah Yeshua…” Philippians 1:6 CJB.
Be…”confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ…” Philippians 1:6 AKJV
We pray Father, that this new day would be a continuation of our walk with You, not carrying a spirit of guilt for having underperformed, maybe, a sense of never seeming to get things just right.
It’s not that we don’t want to have an awareness that we need to improve or an attack of conscience when we fall short. We aren’t perfect for sure, so why would we want to be shielded from these if we are trying to do better?
Realization of falling short strikes conviction. Confronted and convicted would we not confess the truth of it and take on the burden of guilt?
But is there not loving kindness in You towards us? Are You not gracious and…
do You not forgive?
Do You not lift up off us the burden of carrying guilt that the Accuser uses to destroy hope of betterment and the will to try?
Yes You do Father… and praise…and thank You Father that You do.
As we continue in our walk with You Father… through difficulties and pains, the consequences of our own doing… may we stick close, very close to You… experiencing conviction as we fall short, confessing our guilt, feeling its weight bowing us down but then experiencing lifting and lightness as You forgive and relieve us of that burden.
May we then walk on with You in a spirit of freedom and confidence that it is worth it to continue and we will prosper in what we do because it is You who is doing a work in us and You are able, and faithful to the end… and may we take joy in that knowledge.
Oh Lord our God… How great thou art!
In Yeshua’s name we pray…
