“But my prayer, in righteousness, is to see Your face;
on waking, may I be satisfied with a vision of You.” Psalm 17:15 CJB
…And from waking…on…throughout the day…Father…
…Because if that vision of You is our source of satisfaction and we carry it with us throughout the day, it is our defense in every circumstance against being seduced, of giving undue attention to a vision that would cause remorse and the need to bow before You in repentance… because we looked to that which cannot satisfy when we took our eyes off That which does.
We may not see Your face but Your Word, the voice of Your Spirit, the great deeds You have done in creation, Your efforts to have fellowship with Your created beings, Your patience and mercy, Your goodness… these and so much more are… visions of You… and they are what satisfy.
Upon waking Father, may these be what comes to mind… grant us that these are what, in fact, bring us satisfaction.
In Yeshua’s name we pray…
Amen.
