“…His word shall not fail you… He promised…”
Father, as we look into Your Word, as we read, may it be to the ears of our minds as if the words were actually being spoken up from the pages to us, and we, like children listening to one long continuous story, learn, as You reveal, about the beginning for us, and the good life You had planned…
about our foolishness in not minding You and so missing out on Your blessing,
Of going our own way and seeing how doing that ultimately lead only to evil outcomes…
But the account is not only a revelation of mankind and his history of failings but also of the successes when he trusted in You and followed in obedience Your ways.
It is, as well, an account of the miracle of mercy and forgiveness that was extended time after time… and promises to continue.
The Word, Your Word is a portrait of a fair visage, one characterized by the beauty of loving kindness, ways that when followed work to good…
It is a Countenance that we can look full into… that grants peace in the midst of this swirling world around us.
“Believe Him, and all will be well…”
“Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace…
Thank You Gracious Father.
In Yeshua’s name.
Amen.
