2nd Day

Father, just as each day we experience physical hunger which must be satisfied for us to remain alive physically, temporally, may we also experience a spiritual hunger which must be satisfied in order to live forever.

Father a bit of bread for our bodies please, to strengthen for the day and the bread of heaven, Your Word… on the strength of which we can travel into eternity.

And on our way Father, may we grow in knowledge and love for You and grow to actually care for the well being of our fellow man… body and spirit.

We pray for a genuine sense of urgency for the safety and well being of our brothers and sisters in covenantal relationship with You and those others we occupy our homes and communities and the world with that have not yet come to know You.

May we respond to that urgency, as Your Spirit moves within us and guides us… with actions of words and deeds Father.

May we do so Father, by understanding and with wisdom that we have sought and rely on… from You. May we trust and go as Your Spirit leads, watching, listening, patiently and unhurried… undistracted in the moment now, by the demands of time, the surrounding noises… now focused on the real purpose of our lives… to introduce You, to speak Your Words, to image You such that people will be drawn to You… not driven away.

Things aren’t always what they seem to be. Father…we… have no idea the kind of lives some folks live, their troubles and fears, the pressures they are under… the lack of peace or meaning they may have even in the midst of seeming success and happiness.

We don’t know why some don’t know You or don’t care to.

Yet You are gracious…patiently wooing the object of Your love… You forgive and minister to… and persist…

Enable us Father, to do likewise… we pray…

In Yeshua’s name…

Amen.
